Abstract

The problem of determining the essence and content of scientific and methodological support of the law enforcement training process is raised. The purposes, being defined when developing main and additional educational programs, implemented in the educational establishments of the MOI of Russia, are considered. The task of forming socially adapted graduates is associated with building of educational model, providing realization of personality-oriented education. Necessary elements, composing the system of scientific and methodological support of the educational process, which reflects the peculiarities of social demands on police officers, are considered. The educational establishments of the MOI of Russia play important role in realization of such education. They are often criticized for dysfunctionality implying the graduates’ qualification level and readiness to perform professional duties (quality of training in such establishments is lower than in civil educational establishments). Basic approaches to solving the problem of improving the efficiency of scientific and methodological support of the educational process in educational establishments of the MOI of Russia are distinguished basing on the purpose of professional law enforcement education – training of qualified police officers for performing the duties in different Ministry’s departments. Professional education forms such integrated personal qualities as: professional readiness (qualification), professional scholarship, professional culture, professional self-determination, self-actualization. To form these qualities we need systemic scientific and methodological support of the educational process in the form of integral, methodically and theoretically verified Concept of forming the system of step-by-step professional law enforcement training (which allows to form, develop and stimulate law enforcement personal qualities).
